Ultrasound

Through advances in technology that started with x-ray, health care providers are using diagnostic machinery more and more to treat their patients. Veterinarians saw the use for ultrasound when diagnosing and performing surveillance on their clients and Dr. Sartin is pleased to be among the few clinics who offers this service in the area. Ultrasound is a low radiation technology that emits pulses of sound into soft tissue. The sounds reflect off the different densities of tissues and the responding echoes form a picture for the technologist. Dr. Sartin and his staff are able to evaluate tissue texture, organ size, cardiovascular systems, heart function, pregnancies and even use it as a guide for biopsies.
